The TAADAS Trauma Informed Care training is intended to offer support for those who are currently Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS).  Certified Peer Recovery Specialists who incorporate trauma informed care build a knowledge base of intuitive self-awareness thus increasing the long-term commitment to the occupation.  This training will explore and differentiate the skills and training issues unique to CPRS staff.  CPRS staff work in many different roles with many different type programs – each has unique issues that make it necessary to incorporate trauma informed care.  The training also explores best practices in working with peers, recognizing the effects of vicarious trauma on the helper, and the importance of self-care. Training cost is $30 per person.
