This TAADAS training on Cultural Responsiveness & Humility in Peer Recovery Work is a training designed to help Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS) build awareness, understanding, and practical tools to support individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Grounded in the principles of peer support, the training explores how cultural identity (race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and veteran status) impacts the recovery process.
Participants will explore the difference between cultural competence and humility, recognize the influence of bias and intersectionality, and gain actionable strategies to support recovery through inclusive and respectful practices. The training is $30 per person.
