This TAADAS Helping Peers Develop Coping Strategies training is intended to offer support for those who are currently Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS) and/or those who provide services on CPRS inclusive treatment teams. Facilitators will provide education to practical understanding of maladaptive and adaptive coping strategies. Facilitators will provide insight into various types of coping strategies as well as the various ways in which maladaptive coping strategies present. Facilitators will explore and brainstorm adaptive coping strategies and use this knowledge when working with peers. This course is $30 payable before the training. There are no promo codes for this training.
CPRS’s who incorporate education in differing areas build a knowledge base of intuitive self-awareness thus increasing the long-term commitment to the occupation. This training will explore and differentiate the skills and training issues unique to CPRS staff. CPRS staff work in many different roles with many different type programs – each has unique issues that make it necessary to have self-awareness and healthy professional boundaries.
